Hello Guys,
Has anyone had any fist hand experience with adjusting the front popup lights of a corvette.. (chrome bumper)
My lights on the 69 vette, sit abit high at the front about 4mm(dont know why... its a mystery) and need to be adjusted.... does anyone now whats involved..and most of all recently undertaken the task..
Oh... and if so, could help me out.... im happy to pay.
1) The entire assembly can be moved fore and aft by loosening the 4 bolts that hold it in place. Two bolts are on the headlight support bar that goes accross the surround panel and two are further forward toward the bumper.
2) There are 3 bolts on each side on the pivot bearings that can be adjusted to move the rear of the door up and down relative to the headlight opening.
3) There are 2 adjustable collars that act as stops on the pivots for the headlight doors that can be adjusted for side-to-side adjustments.
4) Finally there is a stop screw on the actuation linkage that can be adjusted so that the front of the door can be adjusted flush with the forward section of the headlight door opening.
did that help michael? please provide some feedback
