Andy,
Great idea, but i dont think its the vacumme thats the problem with da lights.... well i dont think.....:an
They just need adjusting... and that you have to do with all lights regardless....

Yeah I realize but had to get the comment in!!!!!!
69VETTE:
Thats Kool dude.... hopefully we can catchp on friday if the weather is good..
Oh...I totally agree with what you have done with your car... you have made a 69 vette into carefree 2005 vette with all the modcons...
Its alot easier doing that, to one that you can start from scratch than getting a good original one...
Maybe i might do that with my next project..... oh...thats a maybe...:evil

69 vette I presume your headlight set up is the same as mine. Jack up the front and support car, put your head under and look at the head light set up you will see in the middle of the setup there is a bolt head looking at you. Get a spanner and turn this left or right to adjust up or down, as you turn with one hand put your other hand on the lid outside and you will feel it moving up or down.;):{

1) The entire assembly can be moved fore and aft by loosening the 4 bolts that hold it in place. Two bolts are on the headlight support bar that goes accross the surround panel and two are further forward toward the bumper.
2) There are 3 bolts on each side on the pivot bearings that can be adjusted to move the rear of the door up and down relative to the headlight opening.
3) There are 2 adjustable collars that act as stops on the pivots for the headlight doors that can be adjusted for side-to-side adjustments.
4) Finally there is a stop screw on the actuation linkage that can be adjusted so that the front of the door can be adjusted flush with the forward section of the headlight door opening.
did that help michael? please provide some feedback
