Hello Nik,

I know John Wilson (Ph-03 9783 2223) personally and highly recommend him on any machine.  He and the Ron Johnson 9the guy i bought my vette off) have alot of experience in this field.

Definatley give him a call.. who else would you trust your loved one with.

The guy is American after all, and has worked on cars since he was 16.

Definatley knows his stuff!

for my 2 bobs' worth I'm using Corvette Queensland to import and convert my 2005 C6.  Have done a site visit there and they have a profesional setup and know their stuff..

Check out http://www.corvette.com.au/

Top Dog... I would STRONGLY recommend before you lay down your hard earned cash that you do some extensive home work.

I have seen there work (corvette Queensland) and I wasn't too impressed!

I also met people in Brisbane in July 05, who had work done by them recently and they were very dissapointed.

If your contemplating spending 30+K, you need to look into all this carefully..

Anyway good luck with whom ever you choose.

well, fellow corvette fans we all want it *now* but that's not my reality, bringing in the first C6 converty.

Corvette QLD have had the car for a few months and to give them their due have never promised a completion date - largely coz of their workload pipeline plus the imponderables of the 85 odd ADR's (aussie dessign rules) they have to modify on the car and get canberra blessing on...so far so good...but even so I'm not getting the kind of of warm feeling I'd like.

In my (service) businesss for example I'd give the client rtegular updates and milestones we'd achieved....you know?

Corvette QLD have yet to make even one pro-active call in this regard and it's kind of annoying....

I prefer a roadmap to completion but right now have a black hole.

Hmmmmm

Hey TopDog,

I totally agree with you in that is important be be kept informed and that customer service is number one in any mans language.

Luckily for me, i dont have to go through the same experience of bringing in a new car (corvette of course) and then getting it converted.

My baby is fortunate enough (due to age) to be able to be left as is.. and even though the previous owner had the opportunity to have had the car converted, he had the hindsight to leave it alone.

Heck, why alter something if you dont have too.. :b4

I envy you and many others (corvette enthusiasts that is) who will be bring in to this country theyre beautifull C6's.

I hope whom ever does the work, that it all turns out well... and i mean excellent and that everything works.

Goodluck, and keep on them about your car.

I have been waiting over a year for them to stand by their word, and arrange to have my conversion problems rectified by a Melbourne agent for them as promised before I even gave them the conversion to do, I made sure I did not have to send the car all the way back to QLD.

They paid the first time, but will not replace my cracking dash and other problems on a conversion that is only a year old.

I just leave it in the shed now, everytime i drive it i find another crack in the dash.

Dave share your thoughts the did my C5 completed Nov 04 and although no major drama's any form of communication or feedback from their end thru the whole conversion would have made me a much happier customer :24

Nik.....it aint all about the price...just remember that......

Definately better paying an extra grand or two and getting a professional job done .... and not waiting months, months and more months without any feedback..

Goodluck

i dont think you will regret using them.
as for the company up north, if i cant say something nice i should not say anything at all.
