Kick'N it in the Vette
« on: August 24, 2005, 08:08:00 PM »
Hello everyone,

For those that we (my bf and I) spoke to during the Tarana Pub run.....we mentioned that our Kickdown (we have an auto) wasn't working....

Well the day after the run, I did a bit of reading on the TH400 Kickdown switch (electrical) and then decided to take a look and do whatever was necessary to fix it.

Well the wires were not connected to the switch...so I plugged the connector in and (when the rain settled a little) went for a little drive and YEEEHHAAAAA!!!!!!! ;)

What an easy fix!!!!! (I wish everything was that easy).  ;27

Well Im glad it wasn't working during the run....cause I would have spent more money on fuel!

Anyway, I worked out my fuel economy (gas mileage!) and we got over 18 mpg......how good is that!!!! I calculated and recalculated cause I didn't believe it...but kept getting that figure.
(but dont forget...thats without the kickdown).

Now Ive got to tackle alot of other things....but for the time being im really happy.

Stay cool!'

I hope you got lotsa power for that 18mpg! ;-)  That's about all mine gets around town, but about 26-27 on the highway.

FYI...........  mpg = km's / litres used x 4.546 (gallon) / 1.609 (An American gallon = 3.785 litres)
