Would it be double? 30% more for currency conversion then freight on top. Companies advertise all inclusive car shipment service from usa for $2,990, so an engine has gotta be less than that... 69DR would be the man to ask!

Alternatively ROCKET would have the landed prices (with their cut on top of course)

US$11 500 posted / .7 = $16k + customs + gst.

If rocket sells 'em for less than $18k buy one there.

Pretty reasonable considering it would cost close to that in parts if you built it yourself.

Thats why i put the link up;) Its still a lot of money but if someone was building an animal SBC, they could easily spend more than that, and not have 454ci and 600 reliable hp on pump gas!

I know I am on the right forum when guys are talking about $20,000-ish engine combos being "reasonably priced". ;41 ;27

I think there is a self-help group for people like us...;41 If we could all afford to indulge ourselves in terms of what mods we wanted to do to our cars we would all be in trouble...;41

Am I the only sicko here who has wondered "I wonder what you would get if you dropped the compression on that and fitted a blower?".

I'd still go your route Cameron and go "custom".  (Not that there is anything wrong with those motors by any stretch of the imagination).

I agree.  I think they are a good motor but I just wanted that little more.....um.....precission, for want of a better word.  I know EXACTLY whats in her and it is was done knowing what I'm going to do it in the future.

But for what I would assume to be a hassel free option, I think they are a great motor.  [So I've been told]

I reckon C.O.M.E engines are probably the best horsepower for money packages available. When i lived in Melbourne i loved watching them race and checked out their shop a few times. 1st class. I think you will be wrapped with how she performs ;-)

Not meaning to go to far off subject on this thread, are you going to fit out the motor and run it before you fit it into the vette?  I would recommend it.  Just a thought.

The Motor's been fully run in at Come Racing before I even get it back gotta love that, and dyno'd with paper proof of the output.
