Where is this first box physically located and is there just the orange and pink wires or are there more coming in and out?

revvedup:
just above the the the wires that go to the speedo [car is still lhd ]it was just taped to the harness ,and just the 2 wires the orange one comes from the switch on the brake peddle which is a thickish wire and the pink is a small wire coming out of the unit going to the long flat pin type conection . im sorry that i am vague  but im learning .

TIPPA:
I'm far from being an expert on corvette wiring but from what i've seen in my vette, ORANGE seams to be power and PINK is lights. I remember a box in my center console with those wires and traced it to an alarm- must have made the lights flash when activated. Also had an output to the power aerial (since changed) so must have retracted that too. Apart from that, i can't offer any advice that may help you. Hopefully others will shed some light for you soon.

revvedup:
cool like the colour of your vette mines samish but with black roof and mirrors ,if i can work out how to put it up i will  .
      Cheers thanks for yor help

Thats ok we are all learing.  The long flat pin type connection, is that the one on the side of the steering column with a stack of wires going to it?
