Anyone know of a place in Sydney who sells Boyd Coddington, American racing or Billet Specilties wheels? Been checking them out on the net- with prices varying up to US$150 each wheel! But with so many styles (and some very similar) it's hard to make a decision without them on or at least next to the car :}
Cheers;-)

There is an agent in Qld for Billet Specilities but he does not seem to stock their wheels.  Here is a link to their site.  Might be worth a call.  You could go to Billet direct and ship them out.

Here is Billet's web site address.  They gave me the above mentioned site address as their Australian distributor but in  Billet's e-mail they said I can buy direct from them, Billet, if I wish.

Thanks Cam. Been browsing thru their site for a couple of days. Still cant find how to fill my shopping cart to actually BUY something yet :ado Either way i'd still like to actually SEE a wheel before i purchase so thanks again on the advice as i will contact them thru this site and see if their Australian distributor is actually a shop here with actual stock, or is just an electronic page used for ordering from the states.

As far as I know its a shop.  It's where i got my Alternator and AC brackets from.  He had them in stock.  When I last spoke to him he was setting up his new shop, his words.  He moved from the ACT to Qld just recently but his web-site does not show the wheels, so maybe he does not stock them.

Hear were your coming from.  You need to see the wheels in person.

have you thought of "photoshopping" the wheels onto your vette to see how they look? that's what i did with my 280zx before I bought the wheels for that, was impressed with how it looked so took a gamble and it paid off. Could do similarly with the vette... just a thought.

Well look at THESE! The hammer and the Sport5 look identical to the Boyd Coddington Stingray and Widow! Nice one 69DR. I think i'll read up on this brand and try to compare their quality and price with Boyds and Billets. Good stuff ;)

And Matrixx- i haven't got paintshop or paintshop pro yet but a wheel site i found has a simulator that includes all years of corvettes and a variable colour chart so you can make the car IDENTICAL to your own and test out all the big brand USA alloy wheels on it. only prob i had with it was you couldn't adjust the height of the car so even with 20s there was still a large gap between the tyre and the guard. Made it look a bit odd and not totally realistic. So you are right- paintshop would be a better option. Cheers mate ;-)

:an from what i've seen if they are 18s then tyres wouldn't be too much more for you (have seen a few cheaper wheel and tyre packages for $2000 locally) but if you are talkin' 19s or 20s.... thats a decent investment on wheels but don't they make all the difference! :b2
