My contact at Bax Global informed me of some NEW recent changes to the imports from the States.
As we now know if the goods are soley made in the USA we pay no import duty. But now the onus is on US to prove that they are soley made in the USA. i.e. we have to sign a stat dec. If you are found to falsely state the information on the stat dec.....well not pretty.
I have submitted my stat dec to Bax Global and they have informed me, verbally, that the wording is Ok to use and once I have written confirmation of this I will present the stat dec to the club at the next meeting with the view of it's wording be used by our members.
Using Ecklers made this task easy as they print on their invoices where the parts are made. USA Mexio, etc, etc.
Remember the onus is NOW on US to prove that the goods are soley made in the USA if we do not want to pay import duty.
