I'm still waiting to take delivery of the car even tho it's been here since last Saturday night, so in the mean time I thought I'd post a few pics we took while I was staying with Scott81 in Florida.

No problem with the Rego people and sidepipes Nick. The only ones who might possibly be concerned with them would be the cops. I now have 2 Vettes with sidepipes fitted and so far no hassles from any quarter.

Next pic in the on going series of getting the 64 here is trailering it from quarrentine. The car looked very dirty and some damage was incurred between the car leaving the US and arriving here. Which party was to blame I can't say, but suffice to say I wasn't impressed with the condition the car was in when handed over to me.:20

Actually I wanted to go a different way than the driver, but he got his way in the end and I got to take pics at all the traffic lights we had to stop at.
We got it home in the end tho.

A few minor scratches were found, but I guess that should have been expected. The car was running rough when I went to pick it up which, when I got it home, turned out to be loose plugs and leads! Why the plugs were loose (finger tight) has me baffled completely.
The worse damage inflicted on the car was to the driver's quarter vent window which on C2s is a wind out affair ,as opposed to just unlatching it and pushing it out. Someone had wound the window out for some reason and when, obviously not the same person, the window needed to be closed again, it was done by some clown who just pushed it from the outside. This snapped the small pivot hinge in half.
On top of this, the driver's seat back was smashed by a multitude of lumbering wharfies who sat in the car at one time or another during it's long journey here. The plastic back of the seat is literally smashed into a multitude of pieces!
That's it so far and hopefully is all I'll find tho I've yet to crawl under the car.

When I got there it was quite obvious they were nowhere to be seen. I called the importers who were to call customs, neither of whom got back to me as I waited for the truck to arrive. So I corralled some lackey who was riding around in never ending circles as he was vainly trying to direct things, but seemingly getting nowhere fast, and asked him if he knew of the missing wheels. After a bit of soul searching on his part plus what looked like a very pained expression on his dial, he suddenly remembered where they were and proceeded to take me to where they we sitting nicely positioned on a pallet at the back of the yard.
Have a rough guess where they would have ended up had I'd forgotten to mention their strange absence from the vehicle.:b2 Anyhow, they're safe and sound here at home now. I wonder what they'd look like on a C2?;35

There was something about his facial expression and his inability to talk in any more than one word sentances that gave me the impression that he wanted to co-operate fully in locating the wheels as quickly as possible.:an
He was so very helpful after that too.

Anyhow Chris, I've already organised for Scott to get the money in US$ from my account so if you want to work out what that comes to in AU$ plus let me know what you want me to do about getting the wheels up to you, we can get them rolling your way. No hurry tho.

Brutus - you are a champion!  Let me know what day the transfer took place and I can calculate it from there, plus add a few bucks for transfer fees etc.

I can send you a cheque if you e-mail me your address again.  I'll check out cheap freight soon as well - I'm in no hurry.
