Shanons Day
(1/1)
Vettech:
ATTENTION all MEMBERS
The up coming Shannons Day for us has been cancelled.
It appears that overall display numbers were reduced by 100. (Due to construction works)
CMC then reduced clubs to no more than 20 sites each. (We usually buy 30)
Even after eight (8) or so eMail requests for our inclusion in the event, we recieved no replies.
The Secretary, even though in Italy, was still eMailing CMC, only now to be told we are too late and have missed out.
Therefore, I'm sorry to advise those members who look forward to this event, that we won't be attending this year.
In fact looking back, I can't see much in the way of correspondence etc, and this includes invoicing, which I would assume would be normally punctually forthcoming from any efficient organization. But before my blood pressure gets too high, I would expect we should make a concerted effort to attend the next CMC meeting and see what we see.
Doug.
Vettech:
For those members who would like to attend the next CMC Meeting please see the following;
General Meeting.
Strathfield Event Centre
L1, 52-70 Weeroona Rd.
Strathfield, NSW. 2135
DATE: TUESDAY 26.09.23.
Commencing at 7.00pm
Club dinner avail from 6pm.
Tea/coffee available in the Auditorium during the meeting.
It would appear our club has some issues to workout with CMC, and being old school (& after limited email success) means I prefer to attend and see & talk to CMC so as to workout, correct an issues and get an idea of what our money is paying for.
Any other members like to brave the cold are welcome to join me.

Good work Doug and I hope you have success. The CMC is a great show and Corvettes need to be there.
Sadly I had noticed on the CMC social media site that Corvettes were not included. 😞
86er:
Hi Doug, I will have a look closer to the date if I am able to attend, if I am able to, I will meet you there.
Vettech:
Just a heads up.....
Shannons is still on at Eastern Creek.
You can attend as a private visitor like any member of the public.
You can of course take your car, but you will be parked in the public car park.
You can drive a "H" plated car on the "Run #" - "CE 15/23"
HOWEVER.
We as a Club will not have representation this year.
So by all means attend and enjoy the cars and marques on display.
Regards.
And Jagsy - I think you'l find neither is the Camaro Firebird Club.
