For a 71 it is at least a 3 stage process to get AC going. 1 all parts need to be fitted up to car, plumb up water and AC pipes. 2 Vacuum system for internal doors and console control and cables will all need to be tested repaired as required,electrical for fan control and speeds tested.3 Gas up system and test and hope no leaks. Possible problems may require new hoses for AC brittle/porus,Seals gone hard  in compressor, I had one rebuilt about 15 years ago was $500, is now on shelf retired, have retrofitted with new sanden 508,heater core defective requires removal of R/hand dash to replace.All bits you have are unknown quantity so will all need to be checked /tested and even if tested ok may fail soon after commisioning AC. It is very labour intensive to fix and can get real expensive real quick if you are paying someone to do all work.Only viable way is to complete as much work yourself as you can, there is heaps of info on net how to do things, test,repair.Plus at the end of the day you will know a bit about your car

Hi all - another new guy, this time in the Hunter region.  Happy to travel anywhere in NSW to someone that can swap out the body mount rubbers that have perished on a C3...?  Cheers for any advice, it's above my abilities to do at home - particularly without access to a hoist.
