The Gabriel Ultra Gas are excellent.

The tyres - ummm.. seems getting some fresh 275/40R17's is not so easy.

Looking at either Pirelli Pzero Nero or  Kumho KU22 or KU31, but again, getting them is another thing.

I think its time to visit tyre shops and see if going a little smaller may be an option.
Web shopping has issues - some sites will not allow 17" selection on 275/40 tyres.

I wonder if enough interested parties wanting this size could get a maker to do some fresh bulk lots. ????.

I know the 315's look killer on the rear, but I think I'll go back to OEM.

275/40 R17 all round.

The wheels are identical all round.

Kumho KU22 or KU31. Pirreli Pzero Nero.

There is an El cheapo called Federal - tread looks ok - but no info on them.

Looked at internet tyre mobs, they can be min 1yr to 4yrs old.

They do cheap, but thats probably because they buy up old stock.

Also is the Ku31 a better design or later design, than the Ku22, or are they suited to totally different conditions.

Just bought a three on tyroola to check it out, saved some money, so may be worth while comparing against what your paying.
Interesting way to buy tyres, they get shipped to the shop of your choice for fitting.

Tks Lefty - I was beginning to think nobody buys tyres.

Which Brand - size - 255 I would imagine after looking at your pic.

AND -  The manufacture date.

As you would know the date is in an elongated "egyption looking" oval cartush.

Numbers like (4303) means 43rd week of 2003.

Regards.

I've had two members with Kumho give good reports.

this size is very hard to get, bit the bullit and found  guy in Minto.

Ordered 4. Maybe in next Mon or Tues. We will see what happens.

I would highly recommend that you acquire  the round black variety  , they seem to work very well on the corvette model vehicle. there are very good reports, from those who choose to use four , ie one on each corner of the vehicle.

A set of 275/40ZR17 KUMHO KU22 all round, dropped the rear from 315 back to OEM 275's.

Look good, and so far drive ok.

Next Central Coast Codgers run, I'll give them some luv.

AND the best part - these were manufactured 5th month '19. So fairly fresh.
