C4 1990 Alt/batt light.

Vettech:
Well now.... 87 top frame and Alt fitted, and I found my correct tool to de-tension. Had to remove air cleaner and duct, to get clearance.
Surprising how much difference a few more inches makes along with 15° more arc.

Everything runs like a bought one ..... and most importantly, no "Batt" light on the DIC.

This result definitely confirms my diagnosis of the fault being internal to the Alt.

Since at least one bearing is knacked, I may as well de-solder the Stator and look at what I can see.

Worst case is it's a total write off or is repaired and goes on the 87.(preferred option).

But I still need another top mounting frame - dont be shy.....
