NSW CTP (Green Slip) Insurance Refunds

(1/3) > >>

gtc:

--- Quote ---The NSW Government has reformed the compulsory third party (CTP) insurance scheme to reduce the costs of CTP Green Slips for vehicle owners and better support people injured on our roads.

If you were the registered owner of a private vehicle as at midnight 30 November 2017, you may be able to claim a CTP Green Slip refund for insurance policies bought or renewed before 1 December 2017. Over 4 million NSW vehicle owners will be eligible for a refund as a result of these reforms.

Refund claims can ONLY be made online. Note that the refund does not apply to motorcycle rego. Note also that you have to generate separate claims for each registered vehicle. Any refund amount depends on the month the (eligible) rego was paid, on a pro-rata basis.

Refunds are paid by direct deposit into your nominated bank account, so you need your BSB and Account number handy.

So, if you haven't already done so, use the following link to claim your refunds(s). Note that this online claim service is only available AFTER HOURS (7pm to 7am Monday to Saturday; all day Sunday):

I got refunds for both the Vette and the shopping trolley 3 days after filing the claims.  :thumb:

I know I'm not as fast as the rest of you, BUT, when did the Gov't make a public announcement about this?...

:hi: The green slips are from 1st February to the -1 December 2017 to be eligible for a refund.
They say it will take 5 days to appear in your bank account and you have until September this year to make a claim, not sure if a full announcement was made public.
I guess its the less that know the less money they need to dish out.

We received an email about this quite some time back , about a year ago, a few months later there was a refund in the bank.
No application need in our case.

Dunno what that was about but this is the procedural requirement for claiming refunds as at now.
