Don't know why. I've talked to you and the pres (current and previous) at length over the problem. I've put it in writing and offered to draft the required changes but the offer was rejected.
Put simply, I want to take my full registration Corvette to NSWCC functions not be forced to take an inappropriate vehicle to comply with a poorly thought out rule.
I think I have demonstrated my commitment. I held committee and organiser positions, provide input to the forum and magazine and attend meetings, not my car.
Why do I need to bring a car which I've been asked not to bring to prove I'm committed to the club for a stamp on a form which costs the club $0?
Vettech:
Yes I remember your offer at the time, the then commitee desided to wait, some commitee if not most have subsequently left those positions.
I suppose I could be synicle here and suggest swapping rego and cars, but I wont.
I'd be pretty annoyed if told not to bring a club HR car to club runs, and as you know I often bring a Mustang to club meets/runs, whilst not on HR plates and I do cop some flack, but never would any one dare to tell me not to attend with that car.
Your past commitment to the club was well recieved and appreciated by most, unfortunately there are always detractors and "other" individuals with personal agenders to push, I'll be honest here and say I was at a loss when the committee turned over and members like you did not start to re-attend and get re-involved with running the day to day club matters. I appreciate that your health has been a bit touch and go, and summised this was the cause behind you not getting re-involved.
As I said when people complained about previous committee, "if you dont like it, then the only way to make change is from within" no good running away or putting the head in the sand.
There has been a lot of discussion on HR rego through out the club for some time now, I would assume it will now need another look.
Any changes will be up to those ready to get involved, time will tell.
Regards.

Perhaps a face to face in the near future would deliver a positive outcome.
Life is to short ,
I would be happy to chair the meeting.

Thanks for the offer Bfit. I'd gladly participate but I think it's gone too far. I've now invested too much time ans money in my alternate solution.
Sorry Vettech but my issues were put to the current committee and the rule behind my problem has not only been ratified, it's been fortified despite assurances my issue would be addressed.
