1970 rear suspension bolts.

(1/3) > >>

Matt G:
Looking for two rear suspension bolts. 1/2" x 9" grade 7 (correct) or grade 8. Research indicates that you can only buy them in packs of 10 or 20. I figured that I can't be the first to make the purchase, so if anyone has two spare, I love to swap some cash (or beers) for them.
I mounted up some from Bunnings (height and stance is great) then saw the original hex markings and realised that the Bunnings bolts have half of the yield strength, so despite the probable 4:1 safety factor, I figured it best that I change them...
Look forward to any help/suggestions.

Many moons ago I replaced my 78's, I got them from Ian at Chev Parts, Yennora. I'm pretty sure they should he High Tensile Grade 8.

Thanks Guys, I saw that Lee Bros are a distributor of a manufacturing mob in Moorebank.  I've purchased from them many, many, many years ago (when I was a proper engineer), but I thought that they had 3/4 closed...  I'll check them out.  Are they reasonably priced for individual bolts?  A pack of 20 from Blackwoods is about $80...  I would have purchased them, but I wasn't sure what I'd do with 18 spare 9" bolts 😜.

Sounds like a raffle prize donation, packs of two, dont forget the nuts and washers..........
