Like most sh#t here in Australia there is no practical application of the new laws, that are introduced in a knee jerk reaction to anything .
Our government spent millions taking asbestos of of weapons, that are designed to kill people
Go figure that one

Yeh, I'd sign up for that.  I cannot believe the circus that passes as government.  If the rest of us were as bad at our jobs; failed to meet as many commitments, lost as much money for our employers etc then we'd be fired, not handed a huge paycheck followed after a few short years by a massive pension for the rest of our lives.

Classic car importers driven out of business by Australian border force inspectors

Keep in mind it's a news story, designed to be sensationalist.

Well I can say it's not good
Business closures, loose of employment  etc .
I know of a good number of businesses that have closed , due to government BS in recent times.
State and federal  just look  at electricity, the government  would sell our souls if they could get away with it.
When they want a job for a mate or to slow a contender down just invent one.
Home security what a lot of crock.
IMO we are heading to a recession , you can not just keep writing cheques when we are 600B in a hole.

In business they call that ''trading while insolvent''
The workers make the money , government take it , throw it away and come back for more .
This can not go on for long
Just my opinion

We'll probably turn into an Israel, the US will send us welfare cheques as long as we spend it on US made arms and military technology.

The US is in a much bigger hole than we are . We can not count on them to say us.
The US brought the world down in 1927 .
History does repeat it self.

And if the US goes under - what does that do to the value of the debt or currency they hold.

I agree... Except that our government is going to make the importation impossible!
