What is the best + source for an electric fuel pump, can I use the alt wire?

Electric fuel pump feed has to be switched thru ignition should also cut off if engine stops ie in an accident usually uses a signal pulse from Tacho or an input from an oil pressure sensor on engine

In C4's the +ve is supplied from ign switch in crank position only, when engine fires/runs the +ve is supplied from the "Oil Pressure switch". This ensures if oil pressure lost or engine stops, fuel is immediately stopped. As Sirfixalot says.
