I really must get out to one of those Diggers meets, but I note that you have to pre-book a spot.

I booked mine online at 8pm last night. There were 12 spots left at the time. When I went today one guy showed up and they let him in for $5. Not everyone stays from 8-10am and if there's spots from those leaving early you can still get in. You can also park in the street outside the car park, it's free to go in and look around.
