Security, suggestions for alarm, immobiliser and maybe gps tracker

Phoenix:
Hey all,

Just got my dream 75 Stingray, it currently comes with its very aged key operated alarm system that makes a weird ticking sound when activated.

I want to get a top notch security system, have been looking at Cobra and Viper systems, can anyone provide suggestions or if they have had experience with either. Any feedback appreciated or suggestions of other systems. Especially want to get a decent immobiliser.

Cheers,

P.

I went to Strathfield car radios for my 924, less than $300 and it immobilisers, locks, remote entry. Windows up down optional, if possible.

Yes if you have central locking then remote entry is very worth the extra effort.

sirfixalot:
Jaycar have all the bits if you want to do it your self. All the immobilisers I have seen fitted to vets the wiring at the bottom of steering column is chopped up with  crook joints & bodgy wiring. Not real hard to bypass when they cut the wire to splice in the immobiliser & leave the 2 ends side by side.

bfit:
Mongoose do a few of various levels of security.
