New Floor Pans into a 76 Steel Floor
(1/1)
			69CVET:

			Hey Guys
No rest for the wicked...over next few weekends will be dropping in some new USA floor pans ( Left & Right ) on the 76.
Has anyone ever done this ?? - if so what was your experiences in bonding the Steel Floor to the Fibreglass in the front section.
Plan is too mark out then cut out what is required and then fold/bend so she sits neat and then MIG / Spot along the seams why they join for a nice finish
Some great details on USA Forums ... be great to hear of some experiences good or bad
Cheers

Measure twice & cut once. you may not need to use all of the replacement panel depending on how bad rust is. Mark a few reference points on both panels with a texta ie use the seat belt holes, seat mount holes & from the edge. Drill out the pop rivetts at the front, re-use the holes in fiberglass.Overlap panels @ join by about 15mm . Tack with mig & hammer joint to shape, Panel has to be continuos welded on at least one side. Lots of grinding cover all glass with cardboard,  inside & out, grinder sparks will embed in glass & will be stuffed
