With the money they rake in, it's time they put down some asphalt.

Hi Tony, met you at Newcastle a few weeks ago. Looks like the day was great, I will definitely be there one day!

tonyg:
Yes, nice to hear from you. Contact me privately so we can exchange contact details and then we can stay in touch when we're passing through.

 30 July 2015

To all the Cavallino Cars and Coffee supporters.

It's been an incredible two years for Cavallino Cars and Coffee, starting in February 2013 with what we thought would be a small group of mates gathering each month to drink coffee and talk cars.

Out of Cars and Coffee came the idea to form Sydney Automobile Club, formalising our group of car buffs and also encouraging others to join us on our regular activities - club drives, gelato runs, wine tasting, lunches and dinners.

Now here we are in the second half of 2015 with a huge public event requiring a herculean effort from our committee and volunteers to organise and create each month, with all the associated legal and council requirements issues to meet.
As such, Cavallino Cars and Coffee will no longer operate as a monthly public event.

THERE WILL NOT BE A CARS AND COFFEE MEETING THIS SUNDAY 2nd AUGUST.

The committee is working together with Council, RMS and NSW Police to deliver an even better cars and coffee. Watch this space!

The Sydney Automobile Club will redirect its emphasis more towards our exclusive member-only activities including road and track motoring, social events and club functions. We expect to bring the best elements and wonderful diversity of Cars and Coffee to more focussed SAC events.

The committee of Sydney Automobile Club and Cavallino Cars and Coffee wishes to thank all who supported the event including local council, police, automobile manufacturers and dealers, and of course the fantastic members of the public who attended each month.

It's been a fantastic ride and be assured the Sydney Automobile Club has some exciting and ambitious plans for the future.

Bummer that they cancelled this event. It was a good (but not extreme) drive from my place in the hills, with great breaky rolls, good coffee, and some great cars parked on the street, on the dirt, in car parks, and everywhere else.  Grass roots!! Oh well. Onwards and upwards.
