It also dries leaving a sticky residue that collects dust so it's not good for electrical components, locks and moving parts you want to remain relatively clean.  It's not the magic potion that people make it out to be, there are different lubricants for different purposes so be sure to check out the lube appropriate for your application.

Inb4 another KY gel joke.

Strongly suggest getting your technique right then you wont need KY. Also the ony things you put in locks is the key or graphite powder unless you've lost the key then a set of lock picks go great.  Can't wait or Sundays brekky - should be some sinterlating conversation.

Correct, graphite powder is the right lube for that application.
