Guys! Has this car dropped from the price below to $66k at the Canberra conference and now do I see it in Carguide or something similar for only $61,000*. Ummmm I wonder, maybe a manual could be ok.

Yes that's the one I was talking about, I'm sorry now I did not have closer look when at the convention, but at that time with the end of the world imminent I had lost interest, but now! 134 stitches later I do believe I could see me driving a C5. Maybe I've become lazy as the Manual box is still hanging me up . Mr502 -and vetnut have C5 - I wonder if they have any thoughts!?......

I had a good look at this one at the conversion .
It would be worth the drive to Canberra  to  have a drive  if a C5 is for you.
It looked ok nd did win its class .
It may negotiate down in price if your there with cash in hand.

My 09 was Auto with paddle shift manual, lots of fun. You need to decide Auot or Manual, their is a beautiful red 04 convertible auto and only 29k on the clock, it's been on carsales for a wile now so I'm sure they would move a bit on the price. Drive an auto and a manual before you choose what's best for you, good luck

Ah that's right , now I remember, let's not tell "B" - she already has me down for a bed in the Alhziemers ward. Yes I have seen the two red 04's coupe & conv autos and they are the end of c5 model and low K's but even being newer they still want 69/75. In my world that's a whole lot of money - I could have a Rhine Cruise or something on the difference. I thought I may get a 97 or 98 cheapish, but I never see them come up, currently there are 6 ranging from 99 ~ 04 and $61 thru 85k. Maybe I should worrying about getting more garage space first!?!?.

Something to think about when it comes to Corvettes, Cheaper is NEVER cheaper in the long run.

Yes I hear you, but from what i have seen the C5 seems to be a far better conversion, has some more up to date refinements and safety gear.

There are 7 for sale , this includes one in WA. The 04 auto coupe has now dropped from $75k to $69k keeping it in line with the others. The WA is an 03 Z06 and at $65 looks OK.. One thing that I notice is that some sellers say "new set of tyres" - I thought these have no spare wheel, therefore require run flats, but I've been told some owners fit cheaper tyres, maybe someone out there would like to comment.
