Sold - 1972 - Leather Seats
« on: October 31, 2013, 01:50:36 PM »
Restored 12 months ago, seat frames have been sand blasted and painted. The bottom seat frames have both been reinforced to stop the U channel from collapsing. Foam seat cushions were imported from the States. Seats have been re trimmed locally in leather. There is a small wear mark on one of the seats. Leather arm rest is included...

$1,000.00 ono

 Hi Michael,

The seat rails that came with the seats we had to modify, other than that it was straight forward in getting them to bolt in.
I'll be taking them back to the trimmer once the new seat foams settle in to tighten up the leather.

Hey Nick,

What sort of side pipes you going to get? Get on to Ebay usa, do a search. I bought mine from there (i buy all my parts from USA,) and i got a set of Hooker pipes and headers brand new , but factory seconds, for $750. There was a tiny dent in the headers and a tiny rub mark on one of the pipes. BARGIN!! You will have to keep an eye out each week, but they often have very cheap pipes on there including factory style ones as well

Yep, late C3 Michael, they are comfortable compared to the early seats not as much side ways movement.

Thanks for the links Dan, factory side pipes would be the way I’d go, something to do with saving some skin on the back of the old legs.
