yes, it is sh#t the annual fees, in victoria, you can buy the custom plates and have anything on them for a 1 off fee. those full custom plates here are around bloody $500 a year !! now thats a rip

Similar situation in QLD where you pay (IIRC) a one time fee of $2,000 and they're yours for life.

The NSW government, RMS and its outsourced supplier only get away with charging exorbitant fees because people will pay them. If they didn't the prices would have to drop.

There'll be an initial surge for these plates but I can't see the demand to keep going as strong as their other stock.  The price could stabilise to something more reasonable, either that or they'll discontinue them.

We are currently paying 450 p/a for "OUR 69" and have ordered the new stars and stripes style plates "OUR69R" which will cost me 99 bucks per annum  :kickass: :kickass: so not all bad news lads  :grin:
