Hi,

I have to remove the radiator from my 1970 454. Just a few questions as i dont have a manual, roughly how long will this job take, I do have a hoist in my shed.
do i have to remove the air cond radiator or are they mounted seperatly. I had a bit of a look at the job ahead of me, but i dont want to start until i have an idea of the time involved
Thanks

just start removing thing you will know how long it takes when your finished
I can get mine out in 20 Minutes
If your cowl is in it original condition you will be at if for some time to get the radiator out in one piece

72vet

Dan, the cowling, fan, rad hoses, Auto lines if an auto, upper rad brackets, and an extra set of hand to help lift the thing up and out. Removing the bonnet will make life easier but not necessary. Just be careful when removing the hoses from the radiator not to fracture the necks.

You could consider fitting a
De Witts or a Griffin radiators both work very well
My BB never gets over 185
I'm running A Griffin at the moment
