First time I saw a corvette was when I was about seven years old and the highlight of our weekend was going window shopping in Parramatta on a Saturday night. Dad saw what would have been a new 68 and said he would love to have one. Forty five  years later I went and picked him up and took him for a drive. He loves it as much as I do.

Bought it as a 50th birthday present for myself.Imported it from a dealer in Cincinnati. Saw it on the net and loved it although it was a bit risky having not seen it in real life. I organised a inspection and when the report came back I took a punt and bought it. It seemed luck was on my side as it is was a good as it looked in the pictures.

Bought it in May but didn't get it here until October. Think it has seen more of the world than me.

The car itself is fairly agricultural compared to others. No power brakes or air-conditioning, four speed manual and a crate 350 (the original engine was pretty well unsalvageable and not worth importing) but it goes well and is reliable. It had a body off restoration prior to sale and looks the part. The sunflower yellow is perfect. Love to drive it but my work keeps me busy on some weekends so I have little chance to really get out and enjoy it. Stu
