I have only had the car a bit over a year. I bought it from an importer in Queensland before it had even left the US. He had the engine bay and the undercarriage detailed when the car was in the States.

I was a car nut as a teenager and Corvettes have always been my favourite. I have fond memories of the Corvettes tearing around Liverpool Speedway, and at the time I thought the Corvette in Corvette Summer was the most exotic car I had ever seen.

When I bought my car it came with the papers for the last owner in the States. I wrote to him and through our correspondence he told me that he sold the car because he had decided to leave the US to live in Panama and he planned on a sea
change. He had been lucky enough to own more than a dozen Corvettes over the years. He brought the car of a collector who moved from Hollywood to Florida but he could only take eight of his cars on the truck.
