From the time I bought the car to getting it on the road was 13 years. The first two years were spent in a shed just waiting for me to get started. The next two were spent stripping it and waiting for the restoration specialist to make room for menthe next two years were spent in his shop with absolutely no progress. I had to take the car away and discard most of his work. I took it to a different specialist and that's when the work began. This guy got all the body work and chassis work completed within about 6 months, Super guy.

We then sent the car to the painter which took another year. But, the paint job did come out very nice. Then off to another specialist because the last guy went out of business. Another year in the shop and the car was complete. In the interim the engine was rebuilt, a new diff installed, and the transmission overhauled. We installed new brakes, new brake lines, fuel lines, all new electrical wiring and a new interior. Since the car came with basically a shell of a body and a chassis with no interior, no bumpers, no chrome whatsoever, no instruments, no wheels, no windows, pretty much nothing, I imported more than half of the car in pieces from the States. A few club members were involved in getting the car completed. Special thanks to Greg Morris for doing most of the assembly and Steve Busittil for doing most of the interior, the soft top and the hard top.
There is a lot more to the story. This is the short version.
