Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival is an annual event that runs over three days in March and is centred on classic cars, hot rods and rock and roll.
The weekend includes an ‘Elvis Escorted Tour of the Vineyards’, rock n roll and rockabilly dances at different clubs throughout the area, live bands,
car displays, talents quest, market stalls and dance workshops.
Throughout the weekend visitors are given a range of events and options at Kurri Kurri and the surrounding villages of Abermain, Heddon Greta and
Weston. On Saturday and Sunday the Kurri Kurri main street is blocked off and transformed into all the glory of a by gone 50’s and 60’s era, with
classic cars, hot rods, entertainment, themed shops and merchandise, main stage presentations and market stalls.
Many community groups come together to work on this event and in 2009 the festival bought over 30,000 visitors to the area.
This event has bought the community together to welcome visitors from all over Australia.
